24 Apr You Can’t Because You Won’t!
A wise man is not compelled to leave home and search out grand vistas. He stays home and remains peaceful, ABOVE IT ALL. ~ Lao-Tzu
Our failure to live transcendent lives stems from a lack of realization, relegating our lives to the pursuit of comfort from suffering at all costs. As long as we remain unaware of our true situation, we will be unable to remedy it. So instead, we gravitate toward the familiar illusions of the body and mind, seeking an “easy peasy” way of life. The ALL of pleasure is how we assess the worth of most everything.
To the pedestrian mentality, life is all about pleasures. These “pleasures” seem to become the only method of avoiding what is truly revealing and incarcerates us to a life of “pleasure seeking” that has its consequences. This we do, with no sense of authentic cognizance.
Driven by the familiar and the immediately appealing, most of us become preoccupied with the superficial demands of our ever-present physical and emotional urges. This limited focus fosters a belief that relentless self-gratification is the essential key to our survival and a worthwhile existence. As a result, our mindset calcifies into a restrictive “querencia” that blinds us through pride, vanity and fear, and diminishes our experience of life.
This detrimental way of living leads us to form numerous judgments about ourselves and others, measuring value according to conventional logic. Consequently, most of us become imprisoned within a pedestrian mindset that distorts life into a harsh form of nihilism.
Why will you not, with all the futility you have endured, seek change? ~ Siraj
People say they just “can’t” due to a myriad of myths and superstitions they have adopted that fit their genetic mentality. But the true answer is: THEY JUST WON’T. They think they “CAN’T” because they are incapacitated by the body and mind that are linked in a union that promotes a small-minded state of selfishness. When the unexpected disrupts their desired reality and confounds their limited understanding, they jump to the conclusion that life is purposeless and become nihilistic. Very unintelligent…yet, very common.
This focus on immediate gratification jeopardizes their future, yet their willful nature prevents them from recognizing the impending tragedies it will breed. Thus, they exist in a state of self-chosen ignorance. When life is dictated solely by bodily desires and genetic impulses, it inevitably consumes itself in a sequence of inherited disasters, the most profound being spiritual indifference.
Most people are resigned to their fondness for their own stupidity. The ol’ saying is true: “YA’ JUST CAN’T FIX STUPID!”
We have no identity outside of what seems to 'make sense' to our body and mind. ~ Siraj
We measure most everything by what our mental acuity can make “sense” of, which becomes our conclusions in this world. Hence, we like to “think” that our thoughts are always correct and our assumptions absolutely righteous. There is no room for anything other than our suppositions that bring us to absolute conclusions we absolutely WON’T abandon.
Making “sense” to our pedestrian mentality means we verify everything by the “thoughts” that are defined by our genetic dispositions. This form of prejudice is typically impossible to back off from. What has been “set” within our basic psychology as a possibility of thought is genetic by nature and cannot be removed or changed.
We live our entire lifetime in this kinds of bias, forcing us to believe that what we can make “sense” out of is our absolutes. Hence, there is NO need to explore beyond the confines of our bias, which quickly turns into prejudice.
Most people would rather be entertained than REALIZED. ~ Siraj
Any spiritual teaching must be instantly understandable and offer the allure of a superior, less challenging existence. The self-awareness needed to move beyond egoic beliefs and deeply ingrained habits is perceived to be too “hard” and distasteful because it lacks any obvious reward of pleasure over pain.
The limitations of the average pedestrian mentality that prioritizes pleasure over pain (often misconstrued as life’s ultimate goal) and the ruthless principle of “the ends justify the means,” foster an indifferent mindset. Consequently, the transcendent teachings of Jesus, Buddha, and Lao-tzu are dismissed by this arrogant mindset as offensive, irrelevant, and illogical.
See if you can realize the reveal here:
A farmer went out to plant some seeds. As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died. Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants. Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.
It is a rare person who draws to themselves a Teacher who sows the seeds of Wisdom and Love. When allowed, these seeds can in such a way as to allow them to awaken, and have realizations that bring forth visions and insights far beyond what the pedestrian mentality can comprehend. These insights become a way of living that is the great reveal of consciousness that is Love.
The greatest sounds cannot be heard. ~ Siraj
As a Teacher, I do not aim to comfort your mental and emotional biases or offer superficial improvements to your worldly existence. My purpose is to guide you towards transcendence into Love, the very essence of Life, by shedding the ego’s ingrained querencia (comfort zone). I am here to illuminate the truth: the excuse “you can’t” live and operate in this Way is false. The reality is “you won’t,” because it contradicts the ego – the hardened core of the human heart, the “hardness of heart” Jesus described.
The means by which you live through logic and reasoning, alibi and opinion, cannot be used to understand the meaning of the life and the world you live in. It takes a unique form of intelligence to truly become aware of the intricacies that make up and reveal authentic consciousness.
Consider where your “thoughts” come from and why you accept them as absolute
Watch how “thoughts” impose genetic logic and reasoning upon you - how they posture themselves within you as the basic framework of your thinking
NOTHING is as it seems to the logical mind - never allow yourself to be intimidated by thoughts that make “sense
True understanding occurs without the mind, without emotions - it is revealed beyond the concept of being just “human”
Learn to think beyond the inherited intellect that embodies the state of your mind - “see” and “hear” beyond the confines of intellectual, emotional and genetic 'sensibilities'
