See With New Eyes

See With New Eyes

There is no greater cause than to live for the sake of the inner awakening that offers Transcendence. ~ Siraj

Once a person of first-rate intelligence hears truth, they understand it instantly. It happened once that a Sufi Master called to one of his disciples. Many disciples were sitting in the hall, but he called to only one: “Come near to me.”

He was standing near the window, and it was a full moon night. All the disciples watched in wonder. Why had he called that one? Then the old man indicated something outside the window to the young man and said, “Look!”

And from that day the young man changed completely. The others asked, “What happened? There was nothing, we know, only the full moon night. The full moon was there, of course, the night was beautiful, of course, but what has happened seems to be very out of proportion. You are completely transformed. What has happened?”

The young man said, “I heard the master and I was so silent because he called me. I was so without thoughts, so peaceful, that when he indicated the moon something opened inside me, a window. I had a perception which I had never had. I looked at the moon with new eyes, I looked into the moonlight from a new Being.”

“Of course, I have seen the view from a very faraway state of my mind and I will have to work hard to reach it, but now it
exists. Now I know it is a certainty. Those eyes were not mine; he gave his to me for a single moment, I borrowed them.”

“I have looked through his Being. It was not my Being – the window was not mine. It was his window and he allowed me to look through it. But now I know that a different type of existence is not only possible, is absolutely certain. Now it may take many lives for me to reach that goal. but the goal is certain. No doubt exists in me now; doubt can no longer disturb me. Now my journey is clear.”

Your misery is that you cannot remember what you are. ~ Siraj

You must become more conscious – raise your consciousness to a peak from where you can see. That is all that is needed, nothing else is to be done. At that moment, you become illuminated – no corner remains dark, your whole Being becomes aflame. Then you will understand Jesus. Then you will understand Buddha. Then you will understand Krishna. Then you will understand me.

The whole effort is to become fully aware of what you truly are.

The Posture of Meditation

1. Cultivating an Environment of Silence

Create a house of kindness in your dedicated meditation space. This environment is where Silence is the prevailing energy and the core of its beauty. Many people miss the profound, non-boring energy of silence because they are so conditioned to constant stimulation. Make your space a sanctuary where quiet reigns.

2. Centering Your Practice

When you sit in Vipassanā, allow the center of your Being—the Hari—to be your anchor. Center your attention there.

3. Transitioning With Grace

When your formal meditation period ends, the practice isn’t over. It is crucial not to rush back into the chatter of your “genetic mind.” Instead, maintain the stillness and loving-kindness posture you established. Let this posture be the motivation for how you live each moment of the day. From this state of kindness, a natural sense of humor will arise. This lightheartedness will help you observe events and hear others without taking anything personally.

4. Embracing Simplicity

To become truly simple, you must quiet the inner dialogue by not engaging with your mind. When it poses questions, makes judgments, or raises concerns about yourself or others, simply refuse to answer. Learn to rest within the inner reality of Love and sit in the shelter of your Soul. When you maintain this inner refuge, you remain simple and filled with great Love. External things will cease to bother you, and you will naturally seek to make your life, your environment, and your actions simple and clear.
